[Fanfic] Love at First Sight (Chapter 1)
Title: Love at First Sight
Groups: KATTUN/NEWS
Pairings: Kusame, Kusapi, Akame, etc. (Er I haven't thought much on pairings yet.)
Rating: PG-13/R
Warnings: Profanity
Synopsis: This is a fic lightly influenced by Shakesphere's Romeo and Juliet. Although the story itself takes place in modern times, you can see some parallelism from the actual play to my own fic. But yeah anyways, it's this whole theme of KATTUN versus NEWS rivalry thingie going on, blah blah blah. Why don't you give it a shot? :)

Chapter 1

In a small affluent city of Japan consisted of two highly prestigious all boys’ schools. The two schools contained boys from families of high wealth as they seeked the best of education for their sons. However these two schools did not get along. The students held great pride as they would often rival with one another and try their best to beat each other in competitions, targeting the pride of others and crushing that pride as their main motive.

Akai High School. A school located on the west side of the city. The leader of this school was Akanishi Jin, a seventeen year old boy with a hot temper and holding fists of steel. He was a strong fighter who often resolved things through actions rather than words. Yet he manages to keep his pretty face clean and clear of wounds. Not anyone is able to aim directly at Jin’s face. Those who attempt would often end up on the floor before they can even try.

Jin’s right hand man was fifteen year old Kamenashi Kazuya. Kame had been a loyal follower and a devoted friend towards Jin all his life. Yet Kame had huge mood swings that were unpredictable. When he was in a good mood, he could bring a party to life in a second and be the center of attention. But if he was in a bad mood, a dismal cloud would form around him as Kame would isolate himself from all his friends and family. Kamenashi also came from the wealthiest family resided in the city. His family owned a jewelry business which explained his huge wealth.

Aside from Kame, Jin had other close devoted followers. Even though each and every boy part of Akai high followed Jin’s leadership, he particularly assigned four other boys leadership, having them individually serve as watch guards of some sort. One of these boys is sixteen year old Taguchi Junnosuke. A rather pleasant young man with good manners, yet the boy has a rather dark side to him. Once pissed off, Junno can get into a huge rampage of violence shouting out death threats constantly. However those moments were quite rare so people did not worry too much.

Sixteen year old Tanaka Koki came from a family of a mafia. He had a rather thuggish background yet lived a rich lifestyle all his life. His specialty was fist fighting and was particularly second best in fighting next to Jin. Aside from his strength, Koki had a charming personality with a soft heart. Whenever he spots a stray kitten, he can’t help but fuss over it and exclaim how cute the kitten is.

Eighteen year old Ueda Tatsuya lived like a princess. He had an air of arrogance and pride that made all the other students respect him in awe. His family was possibly one of the wealthiest as it was said that Ueda’s family tied in with royalties among the European countries, claiming that Ueda had European blood within him. Yet despite his arrogance, Ueda was rather weak inside and did not have strong confidence, but that was an aspect Ueda tried his best in hiding.

Last but not least was eighteen year old Nakamaru Yuichi. Another close friend to Kame and was often the mood maker of the group. His cheerful personality could quickly distinguish a heavy atmosphere as he would create lame jokes and pranks. Aside from his humorous personality; he was a rather understanding person who would always make time for his friends and family.

Aoi High School. A school located on the east part of the city. The leader of this school was sixteen year old Yamashita Tomohisa. A boy with a repose figure and an easygoing attitude. His maturity was something that was quite respected by all students, even gaining the respect the respect of older classmen. Yamapi had good leadership skills and had exceptional fighting skills, taking classes rangeing from karate to tae kwon do. He was a rather light hearted fellow with an amiable personality.

Yamashita had two right hand men, seventeen year old Nishikido Ryo and fifteen year old Uchi Hiroki. The two were best friends and rather balanced each other out, Ryo being the rowdy one of the pair as Uchi was the calm one. Ryo was a spoiled brat who would often cause fights to occur with his sharp tongue. He’d often speak what was on his mind and the things that came out of his mouth usually triggered fights. Uchi on the other hand, never caused the fights to occur but would usually end up backing up his friend, getting himself into helpless fights caused by the other.

Seventeen year old Koyama Keiichirou was the calm one of the group. Being the oldest of the group, Koyama felt that it was his job to look out for the younger members. His friendly personality often succumb people to his kindness, yet little did they know that Koyama was quite known to be a motor mouth.

Fifteen year old Masuda Takahisa was one of the strongest in the group with a never ending appetite. He had muscles made of steel and was quite exceptional in fist fighting. However Massu had a huge stomach for food as eating would be considered part of his hobby. It was a wonder how Massu can be able to consume such large amounts of food. That shall always remain a mystery.

Last but not least, the two youngest members appointed by Yamashita himself, were fourteen year olds Kato Shigeaki and Tegoshi Yuya. Shige was particularly scouted for his smart brains and intellect as Tegoshi was…well…Tegoshi was chosen by being lucky. Nishikido Ryo had taken quite a fancy towards his younger classman and quickly urged Yamapi to scout the kid out. Of course Yamapi couldn’t refuse or Ryo would bite his head.

And thus were the two leading groups of the two rivalry schools. Constant brawls would occur in the streets and stores of the small affluent city, often disturbing the peace of the rich neighborhood, yet the boys took none of that into consideration. All that was in their mind was hatred towards the other school and the unending satisfying goal of bringing the other school down.

And yet this story of love and violence begins with another brawl occurring in a local arcade…

Both Taguchi Junnosuke and Tanaka Koki ditched school early in order to arrive at their favorite arcade spot and reserved game seats for themselves. They ventured in the musty room among other rich children who decided to ditch school that day. Junno moved down the aisles as he headed towards his favorite game. Street Fighter. Koki followed along, a bit hesitant to play the game but promised to accompany his friend that day.

Junno reached his favorite game spot, only for his huge smile to turn into a humongous frown. A boy wearing the same uniform as his own was already occupying the spot. Junno walked closer to the boy as he stared down at the boy rather intently, holding a huge friendly yet scary smile on his face. Even Koki was a bit disturbed by this.

“Move.” Junno continued to smile as the boy quickly tightened. The boy gave Junno a bow as he quickly scrambled out of the seat. Junno then wiped the seat with his handkerchief as he sat down, only to be stopped by a boy wearing the uniform of their rival school, Aoi High.

“Hey! I was next in line for that game!” The boy cried out as he pointed at his reserved coin.

Junno stared at the boy coldly as he flicked the coin off. “Not anymore.”

“Hey, that’s not fair!” The boy glared at Junno. “You Akai son of a bitch.”

Both Junno and Koki reacted as Junno grabbed the boy’s collar. The boy from Aoi High shivered slightly in fear as he got ready to take the punch, only to be stopped by a savior of Aoi High.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?”

Nishikido Ryo glared at the two boys in front of him, as Uchi Hiroki stood close behind.

“If you have eyes to see, this kid is pissing me off,” Junno retorted.

“You Akai High boys have no morals,” Ryo cried out sarcastically. “I really pity you all. If you’re upset, why not pick on boys your own size instead of smaller ones from our school nonetheless?”

“You better watch your mouth,” Koki glared darkly.

Junno raised his hand to Koki as he looked up to Ryo. “Is that a challenge Nishikido Ryo?”

Ryo responded with a smirk. “We play three rounds of street fighter. Loser bows down to the winner.”

“Done deal,” Junno smiled. “I can kick your ass.”

“Oh really now?” Ryo lifted an eyebrow. “Can you?”

Uchi smiled from behind. He knew the result of the duel before it even started.

Three minutes of intense game play had finally come to an end. Nishikido Ryo cracked his knuckles in confidence as Taguchi Junnosuke stared at the game screen in disbelief. He had indeed lost.

Ryo stood up as he smirked at Junno. “Where’s my bow, bitch?”

Junno glared at Ryo with hatred as his eyes went from Ryo to the ground. He couldn’t do it…never ever…not to that Aoi bastard of a bitch.

“Don’t do it Junno,” Koki’s eyes furrowed as he looked at Ryo and Uchi.

“I know, I know,” Junno felt his whole body tighten.

“We had a deal,” Ryo stated. “And I want my bow bitch. Right now.”

Junno clenched his fists in anger as he brought his fist down on to the video game screen, breaking the game machine itself. Blood streamed down Junno’s hand as it was cut rather fiercely by the broken screen shards.

“THIS IS BULLSHIT.” Junno cried out in anger. “I would NEVER EVER bow down to you.”

“You weak wuss,” Ryo crossed his arms as he glared a Junno. A circle had formed around the two, as random passer Byers watched the scene intently. “A coward who can’t even keep up with his word.”

“Shut up.”

“Coward.”

“Shut up.”

“Tight ass.”

“Shut the fuck UP!” Junno’s hand turned into a fist as it aimed at Ryo, placing a punch on Ryo’s cheek. Ryo fell on to the ground from the unexpected punch as he immediately stood up, landing a punch in return on Junno’s face.

The two began to get into a brawl of fist fights as Koki refused to stand back and watch. Koki joined the fight as he landed a punch on Ryo’s back, only for Uchi to join in the fight as well, backing up his friend.

Many game machines were damaged and the property itself was quite wrecked, yet that didn’t stop the four boys from their brawl. However the fight was immediately broken up by the sounds of police sirens. Apparently the arcade store owner had immediately called the police to finally put an end to this ridiculous fight.

The four boys broke apart as they all ran away from the police, shouting threats at each other.

“I’ll get you next time Nishikido Ryo!” Junno called.

“You’re ass will be mine you weak son of a bitch!” Ryo called back in return.

“Fuck you!”

Kamenashi Kazuya had locked himself in his room. He curled up in the corner of his room, sitting rather moodily upon his bean bag couch. He looked at his blank walls rather sadly as he couldn’t help but let tears fall out of the corner of his eyes.

A knock was heard upon his door as Kame slowly lifted up his head, refusing to move or answer.

“Kame, it’s me, Nakamaru,” Nakamaru called out from behind the door.

Kame slowly walked to his door and unlocked it, facing his close friend. Nakamaru noticed his friend’s facial expression as he gave a small sigh.

“I see that you’re still sad.”

“No, I’m not,” Kame wiped his tears with the sleeve of his shirt. “Boys shouldn’t cry.”

“It’s okay,” Nakamaru smiled sadly. “I’m sorry that happened.”

Kame responded with a shrug. “I should have seen it coming.”

“You know Jin still loves you…” Nakamaru patted Kame’s arm. “…you know he will continue to love you as a close friend.”

“…” Kame remained silent as he resumed his position in the corner of his room, curled up in a ball.

“Aw, Kame, don’t be like that,” Nakamaru sighed. “Don’t think about it so much.”

“I can’t help but feel so stupid and so pathetic,” Kame exclaimed. “I knew that Jin would reject me yet I confessed to him anyway. I should have shut my mouth and just stay on the sidelines as his friend.”

“It’s not good to keep your feelings in, but it’s even worse to be so depressed over this,” Nakamaru took two sodas out of Kame’s private fridge, as he handed one to his friend. “You know, we should go out and party, meet new people you know. Find another love interest.”

“It’ll never be the same.” Kame sighed.

“You’ll never know,” Nakamaru smiled. “I heard that there is to be a huge costume party to be held at the Yamashita residence dedicated to some family member, I don’t know. We should totally go; there might be some cute girls…and guys…maybe.”

“Yamashita residence?” Kame frowned. “They’ll kill us if they find us there.”

“Did you not hear me? It’s a costume party, we just have to be well concealed,” Nakamaru grinned.

“But how are we going to get in? I’m sure it’s a private party,” Kame protested.

“Oh, well, you know Jin has connections. Remember how in middle school he used to be best friends with the Yamashita kid?” Nakamaru bit his lip as he watched Kame sulk once more by the sound of Jin’s name. “Well, even though they are not on good terms now, Jin has his ways to get us access. Apparently a maid in the Yamashita residence had a crush on him when he came over to hang out and promised Jin to get him tickets for us.”

“You make the party sound so much more unappealing to me each time a word comes out of your mouth,” Kame retorted glumly as Nakamaru smiled rather uneasily.

“Ah, forgive me!” Nakamaru clapped his hands together and bowed. “But you’re going to the party for sure. I demand of it.”

Nishikido Ryo scowled in pain as he sat on Yamapi’s bed. He was currently in Yamapi’s room with some of the other guys of Aoi High.

“OW!”

“Hold still Ryo,” Uchi let out a small sigh as he took out a clean band aid. “You have to admit, he got you good in the face.”

“You should really stop getting into fights in public places,” Koyama let out a sigh as he sat on the couch. “You’ve been fined for so many damages.”

“Shut up single eyelid, people who can’t even fight shouldn’t be talking,” Ryo retorted.

Koyama let out another sigh. “At least I don’t disturb the public to fulfill my own selfish desire and end up paying thousands of dollars as compensation to the poor humble arcade store.”

“Well, he was fucking pissing me off,” Ryo scowled once more to the pain. “Ow! Damn it Uchi, it fucking hurts!”

“Well, I’m trying my best to not make it hurt!” Uchi protested, only for Yamapi to grab the alcohol filled cotton from Uchi’s fingers.

Yamapi rashly placed it on Ryo’s wound firmly, stinging Ryo to the max.

“JESUS MARY AND JOSEPH!” Ryo screamed as he massaged his face, pushing the cotton ball away.

Yamapi smiled. “Cleaning all done.”

“I hate you Pi,” Ryo glared at the leader.

“Koyama’s right you know,” Yamapi smiled. “If you want to fight, fight somewhere where there isn’t a lot of people.”

Ryo decided to keep his mouth shut as he turned to the side and mumbled. “I wish Tegoshi was here.”

“What’d you say Ryo?” Yamapi peered over. “You know that Tegoshi, Massu and Shige are still at school.”

“I said nothing,” Ryo denied as he continued to pout.

“Well, you guys all know that I have to go pick up my stepbrother at the airport,” Yamapi said.

“Oh right, he’s the guy that your father is throwing a huge party for, right?” Koyama lifted up his head.

“Yeah…” Yamapi replied rather glumly. “I really don’t look forward into picking him up…”

“You should feel happy for your father…he’s been alone for almost eight years after your mother’s death…and maybe it’s time for you to have a mother…” Koyama insisted rather optimistically.

Yamapi let out a small sigh.

“What was your stepbrother’s name?” Uchi asked, trying to clear up the dark atmosphere.

“I think his name was Kusano. Yeah, Kusano. Kusano Hironori and apparently he is only thirteen years old.”

“Thirteen? He’s a baby!” Uchi exclaimed.

“I know. He’s going to enroll into our school and my father told me to look out for him.”

“Haha, turns out that you’re going to become a babysitter,” Ryo taunted as Yamapi threw him a brief glare.

“Whatever,” Yamapi shrugged as he began to leave the room. “But if this kid ever gets on my nerve, I’ll make his life a living hell.”

“You know you can’t do that.” Ryo denied the fact.

“Damn. You’re right.” Yamapi smiled. “I guess I’m still feeling bitter for my father to remarry.”

Yamapi smiled to himself once more as he looked at his friends. “But I guess I’ll have to accept that and move on, huh?”

“I’ll make his life a living hell,” Ryo mimicked gaily as he gave Yamapi a wink.

Yamapi rolled his eyes as he made his way out the door and to his car.

He was finally on his way to meet his stepbrother.

A/N: Lol, I know, the title is gay but yeah whatever. So what did you guys think? I just had this plotbunny in my mind, begging me to be written out, so I did it and yeah just like with my other fic, I don't know where this fic will go, but uh yeah we'll see. ^.~
